Eshanda Fennell has been providing consulting services in the Washington, DC metro area for the past decade.  Eshanda has worked in various capacities at national, local and internationally based nonprofits with a focus on capacity building in the nonprofit sector. 

 

Eshanda is committed to issues related to international development, nonprofit organizational development, women’s health and education. 

 

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE

Eshanda has provided a multitude of capacity building trainings for nonprofit organizations on development initiatives, including strategic planning, board development and succession planning.  Eshanda has worked with organizations such as National Opinion Research Center (NORC), International Foundation for Education and Self-Help (IFESH), Africare, Maryland Commission on Civil Right, and St. Mary’s County Health Department.

Eshanda successfully built relationships with international clients, institutional partners and stakeholders while working at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). She helped launch Global Health Learning Opportunities (GHLO), a collaborative that facilitates global mobility for students pursuing clinical, research, or public health electives outside their home countries. As part of the GHLO team Eshanda was responsible for strengthening international outreach and cultivating effective partnering strategies. Eshanda successfully trained more than 50 staff members from 16 internationally-based academic institutions.

 

Eshanda has 15+ years of experience in project management and organizational development.  She offers expertise in managing domestic and international projects; strategic planning, capacity building/development, program development, design and implementation.

 

Eshanda has successfully implemented and managed research briefings, secured contract agreements and provided strategic planning sessions with partnering organizations. As an international fellow, Eshanda provided technical assistance to the school infrastructure development project and capacity building programs for community-based initiatives. 

 

Eshanda is a Licensed Standard for Excellence Consultant with a Master of Arts degree from Howard University, Department of Sociology and Anthropology.  She is passionate about travel, culture, family, friends, music, and authentic food.
